Lape, 94, Somerset RD 7, formerly of Friedens RD 1, died May 18, 1988, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Dec. 10, 1895, in Somerset Township, daughter of the late Ross and Emma (Stern) Adams. Preceded in death by husband, Milton H. Lape, in 1953; a son, Floyd; and sisters: Mabel Lint, Nettie Hay, Marian Hoover, Pearl Judy and Anna Hayden. Survived by son, Lester A. Lape, Friedens RD 1; two grandchildren: Mrs. Dale (Bonnie L.) Lape, Friedens RD 1; and Alan D., Pittsburgh; two great-granddaughters: Luwana and Lucinda Lape. Sister of Mrs. Verna Harkcom, Somerset. Former school teacher in Somerset Township and in the state of Iowa. Member of Husband United Methodist Church, where she was active as a Sunday School teacher and in various church offices. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Husband United Methodist Church, with Pastor Melvin E. Vance officiating.
