  Paul C. Lape, 73, of 229 Juniata St., Boswell, died June 27, 1977, at
  Memorial Hospital in Johnstown.  Born Aug. 15, 1903, in Johnstown, a
  son of Samuel D. and Laura Custer Lape.  Preceded in death by
  parents; wife, the former Gladys Ashbrook, who died March 26, 1976;
  also a sister.  Survived by a son, Telford J., married to the former
  Betty Wetzel, of Baltimore, Md.  Brother of Mrs. Elsie Dunkle of
  Boswell RD 1; Mrs. Eulia Verna of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Cleda Schrock
  of Indianapolis, Ind.; also three grandchildren.  A member of Grace
  Brethren Church in Jenners and the Boswell Volunteer Fire
  Department.  He was a school bus driver for North Star School
  District for 26 years.  Friends received from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at
  Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where
  services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Max DeArmey
  officiating.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
