Lape of Gibsonia, formerly of the Clearfield-Somerset area died Aug. 12, 2000 in the St. John's Lutheran Care Center, Butler. Born in Windber, the son of the late Albert M. and Annie (Lohr) Lape. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lape is preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth E. (Walter) Lape as well as two brothers and a sister. Survivors include: a daughter Lois V. Lichliter, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sons, Robert W. Lape of Roaring Springs, and William A. Lape of Glenshaw; a sister Ethel Lauer of St. Petersburg, Fla. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Before his retirement, Mr. Lape worked in the sales division of S&A Chevrolet in Somerset. Member of the Moxham Lutheran Church in Johnstown and St. John's Lutheran Church in Clearfield. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Lape family suggests donations to the L.A.S.
