Largent, 66, Berlin, died Feb. 6, 2000 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born March 16, 1933 in McConnellsburg, son of Lewis and Lottie (Fix) Largent. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Beulah Patillo. Survived by wife of 42 years, the former Shirley Christian, and sons, Ashley, married to the former Karen Johnson, Pittsburgh, and Keith of Somerset. Bother of Lewis Jr., Olean, N. Y., Clair of York, and Harold of Pasadena, Texas. Korean War Air Force veteran with the 20th Air Transport Squadron. He has his BS degree from Shippensburg University and Masters Degree in Education from Western Maryland College. Taught in Shippensburg, Carlisle and Berlin school districts. Was principal in Shippensburg and Berlin school districts. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Berlin where he had served on council. Member of Berlin American Legion Post 445, Meyersdale Lodge 554 F.&A.A., Berlin and Somerset County Sportsmenis associations and life member of P.A.S.R. Past president of Somerset County Principals Association of Berlin Lions Club. Former member of the Miller Memorial Center Board and founding member of Berlin Area Ambulance Association. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday (today) at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., Wednesday at St. Paulis Evangelical Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg. Rev. Henry Johnson officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
