  HOWARD S. LASURE
  
    Howard S. Lasure, 80, of Wellersburg, died Feb. 21, 1988 at Sacred
  Heart Hospital in Cumberland, Md.
    Born in Sandpatch on March 27, 1907, he was a son of the late
  George and Sarah Lasure.  He was also preceded in death by his wife,
  Mrs. Rose E. (Bittinger) Lasure, who died on Feb. 2 1970.
    He was a coal miner and retired after 10 years of service with the
  LaVal Sanitary Commission.  He was a member of the Liberty Temple of
  Cresaptown Cresaptown, Md. 
    Surviving are one son, Randall R. Lasure, Berlin; three daughters:
  Mrs. Ada A. Miller, Frederick, Md.; Mrs. Carol S. Sarver, with whom
  he resided; and Mrs. Linda L. Bittner, Cumberland, Md.; one sister,
  Mrs. Bessie Wilt, Meyersdale; nine grandchildren and 10
  great-grandchildren.
    Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home
  Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
    Services will be conducted there Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor
  Gary L. Gordon officiating.  Interment, Comps Cemetery, Hyndman.
