Born Jan. 27, 1910 in Somerset, son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Thomas) Durst-Latshaw. Preceded in death by wife the former Ada Ruth Kimmel on May 17, 1994; daughter, Dorothy Ruth Fraass; three brothers, Jacob, William and Ward Latshaw; half brother, Milton Durst; and half sister, Cora Bowman. Survived by these children: Mrs. William J. (Dolores) Fretts, Grove City; William R. Latshaw, married to the former Delores Stern, Somerset RD 1; Richard A. Latshaw, married to the former Lola Fike, Winchester, Va.; Miss Janice Latshaw, Meyersdale; Mrs. David D. (Judy) Kimmel, Somerset RD 2; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Brother of Charles "Dutch" Latshaw, Somerset. Retired foreman for the former Coleman Brothers Poultry Plant of Somerset. Member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Life time member of Laurel Mountain Hunting Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday. Pastor Barry K. Ritenour officiating.
