Born April 2, 1892, in Montana, daughter of James and Hannah (Bibby) Gillespie. Preceded in death by parents; husband, the Rev. Carl in 1969; three brothers; a sister; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Survived by these children: James E., married to Rosalie Custer, Lusby, Md.; John C. Sr., married to Rachel Miller, Friedens RD 2; Mrs. William (Marion) Chrysler, Decatur, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren. Sister of: Mrs. Catherine Doty and Mrs. Annie Letcher; Stonington, Ill.; Mrs. George (Mabel) Rodger, Charlottesville, Va.; Mrs. Lillie Hite, Holiday, Fla. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Millard Weaver.
