  Robert J. Lauer, 44, Cannel Drive, Somerset, died March 4, 1984, at
  Lee Hospital, Johnstown.  Born July 13, 1939, in Shanksville, son of
  John Lauer of Friedens RD 2; and Marguerite (Miller) Lauer of
  Somerset.  Survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Young, and these
  children: Robert J. Jr., Somerset; Rick, Scott, Keith and Lori, at
  home; a granddaughter, Jennifer.  Brother of: Mrs. Joyce Spangler,
  Somerset; John, Shanksville; Mrs. William (Jean) Ohler, Kendell,
  N.Y.; Mrs. Tim (Bonnie) Younkin, Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Edward (Linda)
  Miller, Shanksville.  Preceded in death by a sister.  Member of the
  Fraternal Order of Steel Haulers.  Friends will be received from 7-9
  p.m. Monday and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Richard E.
  Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m.
  Wednesday, with the Rev. Gene Sellers officiating.  Interment,
  Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.
