  LAUVER
  
   Jacob Gene Lauver, 59, Meyersdale, died April 26, 1989, at his
  home.  Born June 9, 1929, in Reedsville, son of the late Owen B. and
  Anna Mary (DePew) Lauver.  Survived by wife, the former Alma Jane
  Hare; two sons, Jay Gene, Williamsport, Md., and David O.,
  Meyersdale; also four grandchildren.  Veteran of U.S. Army.  Employed
  by Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Inc.  Member of board of
  directors and vice president of Four Guys Inc.  Member Amity United
  Church of Christ where he served as elder, deacon, choir member and
  past president of the consistory.  Member and past president of
  Meyersdale Lions Club.  Member B.P.O.E. Lodge 1951, American Legion
  Post 112, V.F.W. Post 3504, Meyersdale Lodge 554 F.&A.M., Hebron
  Royal Arch Chapter No. 272, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, and Jaffa
  Temple, Altoona.  Life member Meyersdale Volunteer Fire Department. 
  Former member Meyersdale Borough Council, Meyersdale Community
  Hospital Board and Meyersdale School Board.  Friends will be received
  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. 
  Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, at Amity United Church of
  Christ with Pastor Carl Mitchell officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery.
