  Pauline Marie Lavan, 81, Lebo, Kansas, formerly of Somerset, died
  Oct. 20, 2001, at Newman Hospital, Emporia, Kansas.  Born Feb. 11,
  1920 in Somerset, daughter of John and Anna Marie (Singo) Snearly. 
  Preceded in death by parents, husband, Frank F. Lavan, who died Aug.
  23, 1993, son Frank F. Lavan Jr., and sister, Elzora Weaver. 
  Survived by daughter, Mrs. Larry P. (Jennie) Hoffman, Lebo, Kansas;
  grandchildren: Mrs. Brian (Kim) Thompson, Wichita, Kansas, Keith
  Hoffman of Lebo, Kansas; and great-grandchildren, Jaden Danielle
  Silva, Derek Scott Thompson, Kylyn Nikol Thompson and Alexis Marie
  Tabares.  Member of Lebo Baptist Church.  A 1937 graduate of Boswell
  High School.  Attended Eastern Nazarene College, Boston, Mass. 
  Retired from Pa. Unemployment office in 1973 after 22 1/2 years of
  service.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service
  will be at 11 a.m. Thursday.  Rev. James Vandevort officiating. 
  Interment, Lavansville Lutheran Cemetery.  Contributions may be made
  to the Lebo Baptist Church, Lebo, Kansas 66856 or the Lebo
  Firefighters Equipment Fund, Lebo, Kansas.
