  ALEX B. LAWSON
  
    Alex B. Lawson, 84, of Altoona, formerly of the Meyersdale area,
  died June 1, 1975, in Altoona Hospital.  Born May 8, 1891, in Morris
  Run, he was a son of John T. and Agnes (Baxter) Lawson.  He was
  preceded in death by his wife, the former Ella Grace Broyles, in 1968.
    He was a retired coal miner and a past member of FOE, LOOM and
  Veterans of Foreign Wars, all of Patton.
    Surviving are these children: Mrs. Agnes Pewitt and Alex, both of
  Santa Monica, Calif.; William, St. Louis, Mo.; James of Patton; Mrs.
  Naomi Andrews, Westland, Mich.; Mrs. Dorothy Sisco, Altoona; John of
  Clay, N.Y.; Robert, Biloxi, Miss.; and Mrs. Grace Seat, Danbury,
  Texas; also 32 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and a brother,
  Peter B. Lawson of Dysart RD.
    Funeral service was held Wednesday morning in Donald J. Gibbons
  Funeral Home, Ashville, with Rev. John Rabenstein officiating. 
  Interment in Richland Cemetery.
