   Betty J. Layding, 85, South Carolina, formerly of Berlin, died Dec. 14, 2006, at Myrtle
  Beach Manor. Born Oct. 6, 1921, in Chesterfield, S.C., a daughter of John C. and Lela
  (Moore) Johnson. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Richard; and 10 brothers and
  sisters. Survived by sons, Richard, married to the former Nancy Riehl, Denton, Texas; and
  Bob, married to the former Connie Blough, Calabash, N.C.; grandchildren, Martin Layding,
  Michelle Nagel and Kristin Lambert; and seven great-grandchildren. She was a retired
  licensed practical nurse from Somerset Hospital and a member of Berlin Brethren Church.
  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Eugene Oburn officiating.
  Interment Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Berlin Brethren
  Church, Berlin, PA 15530.
