Jean Rheam-Layton, 52, of Lewiston Pa. formerly of Somerset, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 1979 at Lewistown Hospital. She was born March 22, 1927 in Lewistown. Daughter of Charles W. Rheam of Westland, Mich., and Isabel G. (MacLaren) Nagel of Boswell. She is survived by two children: William G. Perry of Berlin; Mrs. William (Karen) Hutzel of Pittsburgh; and the following sisters and brothers according to age: Mrs. Boyd (Delores) Kerstetter of Berkley Springs, W.Va.; Mrs. William (Marion) Stackhouse of Camp Hill; Mrs. Robert (Betty) Reeder, Lewistown; and brother, R. Edward Rheam, Cupertino, Cal.; and one grandson. Mrs. Layton was employed as a psychiatric nurses aide at Somerset Hospital for 13 years, retiring Oct., 1979. She was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell; American Legion Auxiliary Post 461 Boswell; and the auxiliary of the Boswell Fire Co. Funeral services were held at Heller's Woodlawn Funeral Home, Lewistown. Services were officiated by the Rev. Robert G. Sander and the Rev. Kenneth L. Knosp. Interment, Mt. Rock Cemetery.
