  LAYTON
  
    Robert L. Layton, 49, of Stoystown RD 3, died May 26, 1982, at
  Montiefore Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Born Jan. 2, 1933, in Jerome, son
  of Elsie (Lancaster) Layton of Jerome and the late Lloyd Layton. 
  Survived by widow, the former Dixie Berkebile, whom he married Nov.
  20, 1953; one son Robert Jr., married to Leslie West, Cannonsburg;
  daughter Laurie, at home.  Brother of Mrs. Glenn (Jean) Everett of
  Jerome.  Employed as maintenance foreman at Abex Corporation.  Member
  and delegate of Somerset County Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs.  Life
  member of the National Rifle Association.  Special waterways patrolman
  with the Fish Commission.  Family received friends Thursday evening
  and will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown, where services will
  be conducted at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Samuel E. Charlton
  officiating.  Interment, Odd-Fellows Cemetery.
