  Elvin F. Lease, 79, Friedens, died Oct. 12, 2005, at Meadow View Nursing
  Center. Born Dec. 12, 1925, in Somerset Township, son of Willard B. and Edna G.
  (Rhoades) Lease. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Elaine Pyle and Arlene
  Cassidy. Survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Frances J. Weimer;
  children, Carol Ann at home; and Alan R., married to the former Dorothy E.
  Waxham, Berlin; and grandsons, Zachary D. and Jared A. Lease. Also survived by
  a sister, Edith Hoffman, Berlin; and brothers-in-law, Don Pyle, Friedens; and
  Ross Weimer and wife, Marie, Meyersdale. A 1943 graduate of Somerset Township
  High School and a World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines. Former Somerset
  Township supervisor and retired from CSX Railroad. Member of Friedens Lutheran
  Church, where he was a former treasurer and Sunday school teacher. Life member
  of the Friedens Fire Co. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from noon until service
  at 1 p.m. Saturday at Friedens Lutheran Church. The Rev. Edward V. DeVore
  officiating. Interment Friedens Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
  contributions may be given to Friedens Lutheran Church Community Ministry Fund,
  Friedens, PA 15541.
