  LEASE
  
    Frederick H. Lease, 80, West Garrett Street, Somerset, died Sept.
  7, 1997, in his home.  Born Jan. 27, 1917, in Quemahoning Township. 
  Son of the late Charles and Lillie (Zimmerman) Lease.  Preceded in
  death by these brothers and sisters: Ethel Spangler, Rhea Metzgar,
  Marion Lease, Clifton, Frank, Roy, John and Thomas and two
  grandchildren.  Survived by his wife, Miriam (Rice) Lease, and these
  children: Edwin, Catawissa, Pa.; Carol Freas, Kenai, Alaska; Mary
  Jones, DeRidder, La.; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.  He was
  a former member of The United Church of Christ, Stoystown, and a
  former member of Lions Club of Stoystown.  He was a member of the
  Fifty-Five and Over Speeders, Stoystown Historical Society, Somerset
  Masonic Lodge No. 358, F.&A.M., and Calvary United Methodist Church,
  Somerset.  He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Somerset Hospital
  and other R.S.V.P. assignments and was active in numerous farm and
  agricultural organizations.  His death ended a marriage union of 52
  years.  Friends will be received Wednesday from noon until 3 p.m. at
  Calvary United Methodist Church, where services will be conducted at
  3 p.m., Rev. Raymond Lyon officiating.  Graveside services at 10:30
  a.m. Thursday in Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville, Pa.  In lieu of
  flowers, memorials may be given to In Touch Hospice, 651 S. Center
  Ave., Somerset, or Calvary United Methodist Church, 239 West Church
  St., Somerset.  Arrangements in the charge of Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home.
