Born Sept. 10, 1930, in Stoystown, son of Stephen and Vera (Horner) Leasock. Preceded in death by parents; infant son, Sheldon Ray; infant daughter, Angela Kaye; grandson, Bruce Mimna Jr.; and sister, Alma Shank. Survived by children, Steven William, Germany; Cynthia (Leasock) Mimna, Somerset; John Charles, married to the former Theresa Swift, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Allison, Zachary, Aliya, Briley and Nathan; brother of Ronald Leasock, Stoystown; James Leasock and wife, Shirley, Rockwood; Robert Leasock and wife, Brenna, Somerset; Dennis Leasock and wife, Cathy, Somerset; Roger Leasock and wife, Penny, Friedens; Lois, married to Nevin Miller, Shanksville; Delores, married to Homer Miller, Rockwood; Elaine Younkin, Rockwood; Carol Wilt, Hagerstown, Md.; and Karen, married to Danny Charlton, Friedens. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and a former employee of Mayfair Creamery Co. Attended Reading Grace Brethren Church. Member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club, NRA, and Wild Turkey Federation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tying flies and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Larry Weigle officiating.
