Lebda, 85, Hooversville, died May 18, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 4, 1921, in Paint Township, son of Anthony and Victoria (Siatka) Lebda. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Mike, Joseph and Stanley; and sister, Nancy "Nellie" Lorence. Survived by sisters, Anna Temyer, Hollsopple; and Antoniette Detrich, Pasadena, Md.; brothers, John Lebda and wife, Caroline, Baden; and Telford Lebda and wife, Alice, Conway; sisters-in-law, Anna (Noll) Lebda, Hooversville, and Mary (Chechi) Lebda, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special nephews, Stanley Lebda Jr., and Peter Temyer Jr. He will be especially missed by his niece, who he called his guardian angel, Patty (Temyer) Nemeth and her husband, John, their son Shaun and his fiancˇe, Susan Krents. He was a 1942 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served as a sergeant with the 152nd Artillery Battalion. Tony was a retired stone mason with Miller Construction and Honkus Construction, where he was considered an artist at his trade, especially with fireplaces. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, and Hooversville VFW Post 7565. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where vigil for the deceased will be held 2 p.m. Sunday.
