  EFFIE GERTRUDE LEE
  
    Effie Gertrude Lee, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1985, at Sacred
  Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    She was born in Mount Savage, Md., Oct. 5, 1907, daughter of the
  late Walter S. Rizer and Frances L. (Shaffer) Rizer.
    She was formerly employed as a sales clerk at the old Rosenbaum
  Brothers department store in Cumberland.  She was a member of Zion
  Lutheran and Reformed Church, and was a charter member of the Ladies
  Auxiliary of the Wellersburg Volunteer Fire Company.  She was a past
  member of the Rosenbaum's Arbee Club.
    Her husband, Roy C. Lee Sr., died Jan. 20, 1973.
    She is survived by one son, Roy C. Lee Jr., Wellersburg; two
  daughters, Mrs. Pauline Porter, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. LaVerne Sparr,
  Wellersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Whitman, North Braddock; Mrs.
  Edna Cook, Texas City, Tex.; Mrs. Florence Markwood, Cumberland; 12
  grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two
  great-great-grandchildren.
    A funeral service was conducted at Zion Lutheran and Reformed
  Church, Friday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Harold W. Crabtree.  Interment,
  Wellersburg Cemetery.
    Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Hyndman.
