Lee, 79, of 200 Maple Ave., Keyser, W.Va., died Oct. 30, 2001 at his residence. Born May 10, 1922 in Listonburg, son of the late William Frank Lee and Charlotte V. (Hockman) Lee. Survived by his wife, Mary (Friend) Lee; sons, Raymond K. Lee of Spokane, Wash., and Michael Lee of Westernport; daughter, Virginia Marie Bennett of Westerport, Md.; brothers, Harry F. Lee of Rocky River, Ohio, and Frederick W. Lee of Rockwood; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was a crane operator for 35 years with International Union Local 132 Operating Engineers. A U.S. Army World War II veteran and served as a member of the Military Police Detachment 1240th Service Command Unit. He was awarded the American Defense Service Medal and European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. Member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Keyser; past commander and life member of American Legion, Kelly Mansfield Post 52, Piedmont; past commander and member of American Legion, Boyce Houser Post 41, Keyser; past Tenth District commander and past state vice commander Department of W.Va.; VFW Post 6775, Queen's Point, McCoole; Damascus Commandry 23, Knights of Templar; Davis Lodge 51 AF&AM; past fire chief of Tri-Town's fire department, Piedmont; Keyser Chapter 19 Royal Arch Masons; past governor and member of Loyal Order of Moose 662, Keyser; Mineral County Democratic Party and Local 132 Operating Engineers.
