    E. Dorothy "Nana" Leer, 84, Rockwood, passed on July 6, 2008, at home. Born February 8,
  1924, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, the daughter of the late Harry and Lola (Trimpey)
  Dwire. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Nicklow. Survived by her
  husband of 65 years, Orville "Sonny" Leer; daughter, Connie Ickes and husband, Kevan,
  Berlin; special daughter, Cindy Kolb, Somerset; precious grandson, Zachary Ickes and
  wife, Brittany, Berlin; and great-grandson, Tadan "Little Boy" Ickes. She was a retired
  employee from the Pennsylvania IU8 for Somerset County, where she was a teacher's
  assistant. She loved sports of all kinds, especially the Steelers. She loved to play
  golf, bingo and cards, and was a good cook, who enjoyed making food for and spending time
  with her family. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home,
  Rockwood, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ardelle Mason
  officiating. Interment at Rockwood IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to
  The Cardiopulmonary Unit of Somerset Hospital or the Somerset County Humane Society, P.O.
  Box 182, Somerset, PA 15501.
