Lehman, 82, of Kantner, died Sept. 12, 1980 at home. Born Sept. 21, 1897 in Hooversville, son of Nathaniel and Laura Jane (Holsopple) Lehman. Preceded in death by parents, and first wife, the former Rhea Blough, three brothers and six sisters. Survived by widow, former Betty (Lohr) Powell and these children: Robert Eugene, married to former Margaret Coleman, Stone Mountain, Ga.; Mrs. Joseph (Mary Louise) Raphael, El Paso, Tex.; Miss Marilyn, Maple Shade, N.J.; and Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Aveni, Chambersburg; and these step-children: Jay Powell, Woodbridge, Va.; Dean Powell, Berlin; Raymond Powell Jr., Hooversville RD 1; and Mrs. Andrew (Kay) Shontofski, Stoystown RD 2; also six grandchildren and 13 step-grandchildren. Brother of Miss Jeanetta Lehman, Allegheny Lutheran Home. Resident of Upper Yoder Twp. for many years having served on its school board. Member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and the Stoystown Lions Club. Army Veteran of World War I, retired from McIlwain Bus Lines. Formerly taught school in Paint Township. Family received friends Sunday evening and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral home, Stoystown. Remains will be removed to St. Thomas Lutheran Church to lie in state from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at 11 a.m., the Rev. Gerald L. Myers assisted by the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn.
