"The Cabbage Man" Lehman, 64, Berlin, died March 10, 2004, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born September 3, 1939, in Berlin, he was the son of Merle and Jean (Shultz) Lehman. Preceded in death by his parents and a son Todd. Survived by his wife of 20 years the former Maxine Sicheri; son Dean, Berlin; daughter Adria, married to Todd Clayton, Cumberland, Md.; stepdaughter Christine, married to James Parks, Sayre, Okla.; grandchildren Jessica Lehman and Trey Clayton; step-grandson Chad Cox; step-great-grandson Gage; a brother Theodore and his wife Collette, Berlin; and a sister Ruth Alice, married to Terry Saylor, Columbus, Ohio. He was an avid farmer who carried on the family cabbage business, and was a self-employed truck driver for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of the Berlin Brethren Church, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and its State Legislative Committee, Pennsylvania Vegetable Growers, was a volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh, and was a graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School, class of 1957. He enjoyed hanging out with the "the boys" at his son's garage, antique tractors, and his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by his family, neighbors, friends, and especially his loving dog Lucky. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where a service will be held 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. William J. Dodson officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Somerset County Humane Society, P.O.
