Lehman Jr. of New Centerville, died March 26, 1977 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 1, 1909 in Johnstown, son of William J. and Bertha (Snyder) Lehman. Preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marian; one brother, Richard; a great-granddaughter, Jennifer. Survived by his wife, the former Ruth Marie Shaffer; three children: William J. Lehman III, husband of Etta Ann (Wilson) Lehman; Lois I. Cramer, wife of Richard E. Cramer; Wayne A Lehman, husband of Sumiko Watanabe Lehman, all of California; and six grandchildren. Brother of Ray G., husband of Helen (Mock) Lehman; Edythe D. Freidhoff, wife of William Freidhoff; Dean B., husband of Ann (Hutzman) Lehman, all of Johnstown. Veteran of World War II, 83rd Infantry of the U.S. Army. Owned and operated New Centerville Clover Farm Store 26 years. Charter member of New Centerville and Rural Fire Departments, serving as the first president. Charter member of the Laurel Hill Lions Club. Member of Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville. Friends are being received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home until Tuesday, when his remains will be removed to Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, to lie in state until time of service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev Gregory Pile officiating.
