Leister, 80, of Glencoe RD 1, died Dec. 18, 1980, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. He was born Jan. 16, 1900, in Cumberland, a son of the late Moses and Mary (Landis) Leister. He was also preceded in death by one brother. He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Emerick, and these children: Mrs. Marybell Kline, Corriganville, Md.; Ernest J., and Ralph L., both of Glencoe; Elwood H., and Mrs. Wayne (Kay) Diehl, both of Bedford; Mrs. Grant (Helen) Tomlison, Manns Choice; Jacob M., Aurora, Ohio; Mrs. Virgil (Hazel) Tomlison, Irwin; Fred, and Stanley J., both of Berlin; Mrs. Donald (Delores) Kline, Waynesboro; Roy, East Palestine, Ohio; Dotty L., at home; Mrs. Henry (Thelma) Hillegass, Schellsburg; 60 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Fred (Beulah) Raupach, and Mrs. Samuel (Elsie) Poorbaugh, both of Glencoe RD 1; Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Smith, Edie; Mrs. Carl (Martha) Dickey, Berlin RD 1; two brothers: Elwood and Luke, both of Glencoe RD 1. He worked for the B&O Railroad as a foreman and track man for 38 years and as a member of Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Lodge No. 1556 and was a former member of Mt. Lebanon United Church of Christ. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Leroy Logston officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
