Leister, 90, of Glencoe died June 27, 2001 at Somerset Hospital. Born March 18, 1911 in Allegheny Township. Son of Moses and Mary (Landis) Leister. Preceded in death by parents, daughter Mary Ann Ringer, grandson Mark Ringer, great-granddaughter Courtney Robinson, brothers James, Elwood and John and sisters, Beulah Raupach, Elsie Poorbaugh, Dorothy Smith, and Martha Dickey. Survived by his wife of 68 years Anna (Ludy) Leister, and these children, Marcella Coleman of Berlin, Luke E. married to the former Dorothy Smith, and Nancy married to Donald Shipley, both of Glencoe, and Thomas R. married to the former Kay Wagaman, Meyersdale. Also 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. He was a former self-employed milk hauler and farmer. Viewing and services will be private at Luke's request.
