Leitenberger Sr., 62, Jerome, died March 12, 2003 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 7, 1940 in Johnstown, son of Edward Karl and Jane L. (Inscho) Leitenberger. Preceded in death by father and infant daughter, Brenda Louise. Survived by mother of Johnstown; wife of 39 years, Sharon A. (Swick); son William E. Jr., married to former Mandy Vigna, Johnstown and sister, Susan I. Kauffman, Alamogordo, N.M. Member of CACCD; LAMPA; MENSA and Jerome Fire Company. After 17 years of employment at U.S. Steel he received his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown. He later received his master's degree in psychology from Edinboro University. He was employed by MHMR, and later at SCI, Somerset, as a psychologist. He was also a professor of abnormal psychology at CCACC. He was a Navy veteran and also served in the Navy Reserve. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Johnstown where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Timothy W. Sawyer officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
