Born August 21, 1919, in Pittsburgh, son of Charles and Ann Lengyel. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia, in 1998. Survived by son, Michael C. Lengyel, Los Angeles, Calif. and daughter, Janet Ernest, New Kensington, Pa. Also survived by grandchildren: Michael C. Lengyel, Christian P. Lengyel and Janson Ernest. He was a World War II veteran who served in the European African Campaign and received the following decorations: Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal with Bronze Star and World War II Victory Medal. He was a retired owner of several automotive businesses in the Jennerstown and Somerset areas. A graveside service was held on June 1 at the Russian Orthodox Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Bruce Maxwell officiating.
