Lenhart, 66, formerly of Red Lion and Dover, Pa., went to be with the Lord April 2 at his home in Garrett. Mr. Lenhart was born July 4, 1934 in Garrett. He was the son of the late William McKinley and Clara (Moyle) Lenhart. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Rodger, Andrew William and Richard. He was a former employee of Cole Stell and Zell Brothers in Red Lion. He was a former member of the Springvale United Methodist Church softball team and a member of the Elk Lick Hunting Club, Salisbury. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of the Center Church, Garrett, and was involved with the Recreation Program in Garrett. Mr. Lenhart was the beloved husband of Alice (Yoder) Lenhart. He is survived by three sons: John Lenhart and Daniel Lenhart, both of Red Lion, and William Lenhart of Dallastown; four daughters, Alice Rainey of East Prospect, Ann Ness of Manchester, Caroline Spahr and Nan Louise Markel, both of Dallastown; three stepchildren, Linda Torres and Callista Thomas of New Jersey and Mary Franklin of West Virginia; six brothers, James Lenhart of Dover, Robert Lenhart of Lancaster, Glenn Lenhart of Rockwood, Walter Lenhart of Garrett, Terry Lenhart of York and Stanley Lenhart of Manchester; three sisters, Dorothy Yoder of Warren, Ohio; Vivian Ludden, Meyersdale, and Bess Christner of Lykins; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Center Church, 171 Center Church Rd., Garrett. There will be no viewing. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Tim Shivler, Pastor of the Center Church in Garrett and Pastor Al Valentine from Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church. Leckemby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
