Charles Nelson Lenhart, Sr., 75, of Dover, Pa., died Nov. 26, 1996, at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Doris M. (Gray) Lenhart, and the couple observed their 44th wedding anniversary April 12. Mr. Lenhart was born May 1, 1921, in Garrett, the son of Thelma O. (Grant) Lenhart of Garrett and the late Philson L. Lenhart. He was a papermaker for the former St. Regis Paper Mill in York, retiring in 1986 after 32 years of service. After retiring, he worked part time for the Schaad Detective Agency in York. He was a life member of the Prince Club and was a member of the United Paperworkers' International Local 808. Mr. Lenhart is also survived by three sons: Carlton L. Lenhart of Dover; Charles N. Lenhart, Jr., of Seven Valleys, Pa.; and Edward E. Lenhart of York; two daughters: Mary J. (Lenhart) Chronister of Shadyside, Md.; and Beverly L. (Lenhart) Bryson of York; 15 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; four brothers: Guy Lenhart, Thomasville, Pa.; Homer Lenhart of York; Jay Lenhart of Hellam, Pa.; and Belmont Lenhart of Boynton; and three sisters: Thelma Jean Nolte and Sarah Gary, both of Garrett; and Joyce Nichlow of Thomasville.
