USMC (Retired), 75, of Beaufort, S.C., died Saturday Jan. 27, 2001 at his home. He was born March 2, 1925, in Confluence, a son of the late Harry W. and Alice E. (Smith) Lenhart. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise (Smith) Lenhart; a daughter, Susan E. Lenhart of Beaufort, and sisters: Carolyn Cook of District Heights, Md. and Miriam Glessner of Pittsburgh. He retired a captain from the U.S. Marine Corps after serving in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Following retirement, he owned and operated Para-Legal Services, Inc. in Beaufort. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Beaufort, Somerset Lodge 358 F. & A.M. and Pittsburgh Syria Shrine. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. A graveside service with full military honors will be held in Jersey Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. George Mason officiating. Interment will follow. Daily American, January 30, 2001 [L0610]
