Lenhart, lifelong resident of the Confluence community, died suddenly Friday afternoon, October 9, from a heart attack. Mr. Lenhart was on his way to his home just north of town on Route 53, when he suffered an attack and was found near the Jennie Smith residence. The Humbert ambulance was called, but he passed away before he could be gotten to the Price Hospital. Lyman Stoner Lenhart was born near Grantsville, Garrett County, Maryland, September 5, 1886, a son of the late John Lenhart, who preceded him in death in 1906 and of Mary Miller Lenhart who died in 1935. He was 56 years, 1 month and 4 days old. He was engaged in carpentry work and bridge building during most of his lifetime. He was for more than 35 years a member of Pleasant Valley Lodge No. 72, Knights of Pythias, and was presented a 35 year medal by that Lodge a short time ago. He was also for many years a member of Confluence Lodge No. 814, Independence Odd Fellows, and of the Confluence Lutheran Church. He was unmarried. He was a true and sincere friend, without known enemies, and was of a friendly disposition and a lover of children, and his passing will leave a void in the community that will be very hard to fill. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Sadie (Frank J.) Reitz of Quaker Bridge, N.Y., and Mrs. Mary F. Dull of New Centerville, Pa.; and one brother, Jacob M. Lenhart of Buffalo, N.Y. One brother, Peter S. Lenhart, preceded him to the grave about a year ago and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Cronin, in 1938. Surviving also are two nieces and eight nephews. Funeral services were held at the Humbert Funeral Home, 2:30 Monday, October 12, with Rev. James S. Shannon of the Confluence Lutheran Church officiating. Interment in Ursina Cemetery. Funeral was in charge of Charles B. Humbert, funeral director. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs. Mary F. Dull and two children, New Centerville; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob M.
