Lenhart, 100, of Garrett, died April 25, 2001 at home. Born March 9, 1901 in Paw Paw, W.Va., daughter of Charles and Leona (Malcolm) Grant. Preceded in death by parents, husband Philson, son Charles, one brother, four sisters, and a great-grandchild. Thelma is the last living member of her family. She is survived by these children: Guy married to the former Margaret Flowers, Thomasville; Belmont, married to the former Dorothy Livengood, Boynton; Jay, married to the former Edna Bush, Hellem; Homer, married to the former Dawn Deardorf, Mt. Wolf; Thelma, married to Bernard Nolte Sr., Summit Twp.; Joyce, married to George C. Nicklow, Thomasville; Sarah, married to Howard Gary Sr., Garrett; 25 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law, Doris Lenhart, Dover, Pa. Thelma was the oldest living member and former superintendent of the former Church of the Brethren. She attended the United Methodist Church, and was a member of the former Senior Citizens, all of Garrett. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, and from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Garrett, with Rev. Ronald Beachley and Rev. Timothy Shivler officiating. Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett. Memorial contributions may be sent to "In-Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
