Lenhart of Garrett died Monday, November 11, in the Cresson Sanitarium. Mrs. Lenhart, the daughter of Ettre and Annita Pittine, was born in Florence, Italy, October 31, 1920. It was while Mr. Lenhart was stationed in Italy while serving in ???? the had the misfortune of being one of ???? Tosca, and later married her. When arrangements were made for Mrs. Lenhart to sail for the United States as a war bride she had the misfortune of being one of the passengers on the ill fated Allagenta. She and her husband arrived in the States last May and lived at the home of Mr. Lenhart's parents until September 20th, when Mrs. Lenhart was taken to the Somerset Community Hospital and later to the Cresson Hospital where she died. She is survived by her husband and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ettre Pittine of Florence, Italy. A twin brother was killed in the invasion of Northern Africa. Funeral services, under the direction of Mills & Mickey of Rockwood, were conducted Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the Evangelical Church, with Rev. W. J. Miller of Johnstown officiating. Interment in the Highland Cemetery. The following members of Norman W. Yutzy Post of the American Legion acted as pall bearers: Roy Bush, Guy Lenhart, Donald Grant, Stanley Nedrow, Robert Walters and Robert Sheeler. Out of town people attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Yoder and children Dorothy and Marie, of Isabella, Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Ludden of Meyersdale, Robert Lenhart of Lancaster and Richard Lenhart who is in the United States Air Force.
