Born Oct. 20, 1930, in Opekiska, W. Va., a son of Theophilus J. and Lydia (Foiley) Leonberger. He is survived by his mother of Rockwood Rd 2; by his wife, Verna (Saylor) Leonberger of Rockwood RD 2; by two sons, Robert S. and Mark H., both of Somerset; by three daughter: Mrs. Ada James of Plattsburg, N.Y.; Miss Doris Jean Leonberger of Somerset; and Miss Barbara Jo Leonberger at home; by two brothers: Theodore J. of Rockwood RD 2; and Richard B. of Hewett, Texas; by one sister, Mrs. Pauline Kritschgau of Berlin; and four grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, March 14, 1974; also by three infant daughters. His death terminates a marriage union of 38 years. He was a graduate of Rockwood High School, class of 1948. He was a member of the Laurel Mountain Chapel where he served as a secretary, member of the church choir and Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad and Airline Clerks. He was an employee of CSX Transportation for 38 years. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, on Friday from noon until 9 p.m., and until 10 a.m. on Saturday when the remains will be removed to the Laurel Mountain Chapel for services at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Don Judy officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, with Francis Brady supervising.
