LEPLEY Relatives and friends here were shocked to learn that Charles E. Lepley of Huntsville, Arkansas had died instantly of a heart attach the day after his return home to Arkansas from family reunions in St. Paul, Meyersdale and Ohio. Mr. Lepley, aged 76, passed away August 23, 1981. He was born April 13, 1905 at St. Paul, Elk Lick Township, the eldest son of the late Herman G. and Jennie Kammerer Lepley. His first wife, Anna Tasker, died in December 1971. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Julia (Scates) Gumm Lepley and the following children: Herman P. Lepley, Berryville, Ark.; Mrs. Mildred L. Hampton, Huntsville, Ark.; Mrs. Anna I. Ford, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Mary H. Glisson and Mrs. Doris M. Parker, Berryville, Ark.; also by his stepmother, Mrs. Mary Lepley Sipple, Meyersdale RD 1, Meyersdale, Pa. Surviving stepchildren are: Norman Gumm, of Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Irma Cate, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Maudie Widdows, Independence, Mo.; Mrs. Alta Betts, Calif., and Mrs. Rosalia Markley, Forum, Ark. Brothers and sisters who survived are: Mrs. Marguerite L. Cockley, Meyersdale, Pa.; H. Glenn Lepley, Escondido, Calif.; Mrs. Ruth e. Pickett, and Eugene A. Lepley, Euclid, Ohio; Mrs. Virginia Shoff, Madison, Ohio; Robert N. Lepley, Norfolk, Va. And Joseph C. Tennefoss, North Benton, Ohio. Funeral services were held at the Shiloh United Methodist Church, Dry Fork, Ark. Of which he was a member, with Rev. Roy I. Cain officiating, assisted by Rev. Chris Cooper and Rev. Lewis T. See, Jr. Interment was in the Liberty Cemetery near Dry Fork, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, Huntsville Arkansas. The Republic, September 3, 1981 [L0670]
