Lepley, 67, of Route 3, Bedford Road, Cumberland, Md. died at his home on September 13, 1979. Born in Meyersdale, he was the son of the late Howard and Mary (Clark) Lepley and was a retired B & O Railroad engineer and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, Orr Lodge 131, AF & AM: Meyersdale Lodge 1951, BPO Elks, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Surviving are his widow, Betty J. (Getty) Lepley; two sons, Clint L. Lepley, at home, and Jeffrey G. Lepley, Cumberland, and one granddaughter. Services were conducted September 16, 1979 at the George Funeral Home with the Reverend John R. Scamehorn officiating. Interment was at the Sunset Memorial Park. The Family requested the expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Red Cross for the relief of hurricane victims. Republic, September 20, 1979 [L0672]
