Lepley, 96, a retired farmer and former tax collector, died Monday, November 26, 1984, at the Winchester, Va., Medical Center. Born in Southampton Township, Somerset County, Nov. 8, 1888, he was a son of the late Samuel L. Lepley and Ida Mary (Emerick) Lepley. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran and Reformed Church, Wellersburg. His wife, the former Emma Catherine Delbrook, died Oct. 14, 1984. One daughter also preceded him in death. Surviving are two sons, Victor L. Lepley, Falls Church, Va.; Wilbert H. Lepley, Capon Bridge, W. Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma C. Rawlings, Hagerstown, Md., Mrs. Lucille E. Saylor, Bowling Green, Cumberland, Md.; one brother, Harvey V. Lepley, Meyersdale; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran and Reformed Church by the Rev. Harold W. Crabtree.
