LEPLEY Oscar Adam Lepley, 93, of Hyndman RD 1, died July 22, 1983 at the Cumberland, Md., Nursing Home, where he had been a patient for several years. He was born in Southampton Township, Somerset County, May 9, 1890, and was a son of the late Simon Alexander Lepley and Mary Ann (Shoemaker) Lepley. His wife, Cora Elizabeth (Getz) Lepley, died Aug. 8, 1981. He was a lifelong resident of the Hyndman area. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Wellersburg Church of Christ. He is survived by one son, John G. Lepley, Hyndman RD 1; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Deffenbaugh, La Vale, Md.; Mrs. Mary Catherine Sansom, RD 1, Mount Savage, Md.; Mrs. Doris Clites, Hyndman; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted by the Rev. George L. Wehler and the Rev. Leroy Logsdon. Interment was in Cook's Cemetery, Wellersburg. The family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to the hospice unit at Sacred Hearts Hospital in Cumberland. The Republic, July 28, 1983 [L0695]
