He was a native of Southampton Township, a son of the late Adam and Sara Comp Lepley and was a member of the Wellersburg Reformed Church. His wife, Mrs. Ida Elizabeth Emerick Lepley preceded him in death. Surviving are seven children: Earl T. Lepley, Mt. Savage; James Lepley, Wellersburg; Mrs. Ellen Korns and Mrs. Bertha Bittner, both of Hyndman; Harvey Lepley, Sand Patch; Alonza Lepley, Hyndman, and Miss Mary Lepley, Cumberland. One sister, Mrs. Essie Kennell, Hyndman, 20 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m., at the home by Rev. John Bucher, pastor of Wellersburg Reformed Church. Burial was made in the Lepley Cemetery. Pallbearers, all grandchildren, were Cecil, Raymond and William Lepley, Harvey Bittner, Lester Korns and Stanley Lepley. Meyersdale Republican, November 13, 1947
