    Valentine "Pete" Lepley, 87, 629 Quemahoning St. Boswell, died Feb.
  28, 1988 at home.  Born Sept. 27, 1900 in Greenville Twp., a son of
  Walter and Martha (Bowman) Lepley.  Preceded in death by parents,
  infant son, Michael, daughter Esther Wiencek, of Spangler, who died
  Jan. 26, 1974; two sisters and three brothers.  Survived by wife, the
  former Flora "Brooks" Richter and these children: Frances, wife of
  Homer Redd, Ligonier; Jeanette, wife of Stanley Baraniak, Lorain,
  Ohio; Edna, wife of John Law, North Huntingdon; Lois, wife of James
  Bence, Sandy Lake; Peter, married to the former Connie Kelly,
  Somerset RD 3; Mary, wife of Donald Scott, Arnold, Mo.; Theodore
  "Buck," married to the former Nancy Nozsak, Stoystown RD 3; Grace,
  wife of John Jones, Friedens; Louis, married to the former Virgina
  Magazzu, Boswell RD 2; and Linda Szapka, Boswell; also numerous
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A brother of August, Jenners;
  and Clyde, Boswell.  A retired miner and member of U.M.W.A.  Friends
  received from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman
  Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11
  a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes officiating. 
  Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
