Born June 17, 1902 in Meyersdale, son of Walter and Martha Bowman Lepley. Preceded in death by parents, two infant children, a son Edward, several brothers and sisters, including, brothers Herman and William. Survived by widow the former Bertha Dunlap and these children: Walter Jr., Mark, Donald, Judith, and Mrs. Carol Mosky, all of Boswell; Mrs. Dolores Lockard, of Ambridge; Paul, of Alexandria, Va.; Mrs. Marlene Fkomra, of Willowick, Oh.; Thomas, of York; and, Mrs. Penny Manzulick of Lloydsville; and daughter-in-law Mrs. Rose Lepley, Boswell; 34 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. He was a brother of Pete and Clyde, both of Boswell; August of Jenner, Mrs. Irene Hatzel, Numine, Pa., and Mrs. Florence Jano, of Listie. Was a member of Jenner Rod and Gun Club and New Baltimore Rod and Gun Club. Social member of Boswell Post 461 American Legion, and Nest 556 Jerome Polish Falcons of America. Was a retired miner and member of UMW of A. Celebrated 50th wedding anniversary April 3, 1975. Friends received after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Donald Chamberlain officiating. Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
