"Hank" Leskey, 62, of rural New Ulm, Minn., died May 29, 2001, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato of cancer. He was born July 26, 1938, in Wilson Creek to John and Mary (Bielski) Leskey. He was preceded in death by his father John Leskey and grandson Gabriel Thorson. He is survived by his wife, Delores of New Ulm; and sons: Thomas Leskey and his wife Cathie of Madison Lake, Minn.; Timothy Leskey, and Travis Leskey and his wife Lisa, both of New Ulm; daughters: Therese Thorson and her husband Leon of Gibbon, Minn.; Tamera Thompson and her husband Joel of Parkers Prairie, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; mother Mary Leskey of Somerset; brothers, John Leskey and his wife Marylyn of Commack Long Island, N.Y.; James Leskey and his wife Louise of King George, Va.; Robert Leskey and his wife Shirley of Rockwood; sisters, Sister Roberta Ann Leskey of King of Prussia; and Mary Katherine Dinning and her husband Dale of Somerset. He was graduated from Rockwood High School in 1956. He married Delores Funk on July 12, 1960, in San Diego, Calif. They moved to Winthrop where he worked for Fingerhut in Gaylord, Minn. In 1974, the family moved to New Ulm where he worked for Heymann Construction until illness forced his retirement in 2000. He was a member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Daily American, June 5, 2001 [L0716]
