  LETCHER
  
  James Henry Letcher, 68, of Erie, formerly of Somerset, died Aug. 9,
  1982, at home.  He is survived by his wife, Helena (Kaufman) Letcher;
  his mother, Mrs. Clara L. Smith; son, James Lee of Maryland; and
  daughter, Faye Cairns of Erie; four granddaughters; two brothers,
  Chalmer, New Jersey, and Paul, Somerset.  Services will be held
  today, Wednesday, in Erie.
