Born March 23, 1925, in Jerome, son of George Sr. and Alexandria (Korejwo) Levadnuk. Preceded in death by father; wife, the former Kathryn A. Downie, May 17, 1993; infant daughter, and brothers, Alexander "Cecil" and Walter "Deamer." Survived by mother, Bartlett, Ill., and son, James G., married to Sharon M. Tucker, Woodstock, Ill. Brother of Olga, widow of Fred DeLuca, Crystal Lake, Ill.; and Anastasia "Nancy," wife of Mickie Skaja, Bartlett, Ill. Also sisters-in-law, Irene Levadnuk, Orange City, Fla.; Cora "Sis" Levadnuk, and Beatrice (Downie), wife of Stephen Gironda, both of Jerome. Numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Boswell, where he had served as an usher. Life member and past commander of Central City Post 449, American Legion. Also a member of the Johnstown Chapter of the D.A.V. U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served on the USS Iowa, South Pacific theater. Employed by Hoffman Funeral Homes, Boswell, for many years. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where Wake service will be held Friday evening. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus Church, the Rev. Father Blase Wegierski, O.F.M. Conv. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome. Graveside military service in charge of the Menoher Post 155, VFW, ritual team. Memorials to the American Heart Association, Broad Street, Johnstown, 15906; American Cancer Society, South Lynn Avenue, Somerset, 15501, or the Windber Hospice, Windber, 15963, would be appreciated.
