Lewis, of Columbus, Ohio, who died Monday of a heart attack, were conducted this (Thursday) afternoon in the Bertram C. Jones Chapel in Columbus. Mr. Lewis, aged 45 years, was secretary of the William Fean Company, commission merchants in Columbus for the past eighteen years. He was a World War veteran, having served overseas for twenty-two months, part of the time as a supply sergeant and later with a headquarters detachment. He was a member of the Franklin post, American Legion, in Columbus. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo W. Lewis, and was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna (Stump) Lewis, one son, George Jr., and three daughters, Betty Lu, Martha and Barbara. A sister, Mrs. Charles S. Rodebaugh, of Columbus, also survives. The Lewis family is well known in Meyersdale as having made frequent visits at the Harry Bittner home here. Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Bittner are sisters. Meyersdale Republican, March 6, 1941
