Born March 6, 1906, in Frostburg, Md., he was the son of the late William T. and Margaret Ann (Richardson) Lewis. He retired in 1971 from TRW where he worked 19 years as a floor inspector. He was a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church, charter member of Cresaptown Eagles Aerie 2883 and a member of the TRW Old Guard. Surviving are his widow, Mable M. (Cordes) Lewis; three sons, Charles E. Lewis, Corriganville, Md.; Richard D. Lewis, Brunswick, Ohio; and Robert H. Lewis, Mentor, Ohio; three daughters, Shirley M. Loar, Frostburg, Md.; Margaret A. Sanders, Eastlake, Ohio; and Martha A. Albanese, Wickliffe, Ohio; four sisters, Elsie Shaffer, Cresaptown, Md.; Mary Ziegler and Dora Geris, both of Pocahontas; and Alice Greenwood, Corriganville, Md., three brothers, Robert Hilleary Lewis, Hagerstown, Md.; Thomas Lewis, Mount Savage, Md.; and Leroy Lewis, Winchester Rd., Md., 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
