  WINIFRED CATHERINE LEWIS
    
    Winifred Catherine Lewis, 83, of West Church Street, Somerset, died
  Sept. 27, 1982, at Somerset Community Hospital.
    She was born July 30, 1897, at Windburn, Clearfield County,
  daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Nashwinter) Spence.  She
  was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Milton.
    She is survived by two children: Betty, wife of Dr. Earl O. Haupt,
  Somerset RD 2; and Robert of Johnstown; also two grandchildren and
  two great-grandchildren.  She was a sister of: Robert of Meyersdale;
  George of Gettysburg; Mrs. Luella Davis of Pittsburgh; and Russell of
  Johnstown.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset.
    Funeral services were conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church with the
  Rev. H. James Meyers officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial
  Park under the direction of the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. 
  Family requests that contributions be made to favorite charity.
