Leydig, died Monday morning, March 20, at Clewistown, Florida. She was born June 24, 1862, and was united in marriage with Mr. Leydig, April 1, 1887 at Somerset, Pa. They resided in Salisbury, for a number of years before moving to Glencoe, where they lived until November 1928, when they went to Clewistown, Fla. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Marion and Leah of Clewistown, Florida, and Elizabeth, wife of Fred W. DeLozier, South Connellsville, Pa., and these grandchildren: Betty Bell, Roberta, Spicer, Marion and William DeLozier. A son, Robert, died in 1906. A sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Barnes, of Pasadena, Calif., also survives. Mrs. Leydig was an ardent church worker while in the Glencoe community. During the past few years she knit more than 20 sweaters and many pairs of sox for the Red Cross. She enjoyed appliqueing quilts, too. Her hands were never idle. She leaves a host of friends who mourn her passing. Meyersdale Republican, March 23, 1944
