Leydig, 60, of Berlin RD 4, died March 3 at home. He was born March 13, 1915 in Bedford County, son of B. F. and Mary Leydig. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1951 and a brother, Lester. He is survived by his wife, the former, Geneva Countryman, a daughter, Mrs. James (Jean) Ferguson, Berlin RD 4; Dale of Berlin RD 3 and Timmy of Gaithersburg, Md.; five grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Mertle Fleegle of Butler; Mrs. Perry (Bessie) Lafferty of Altoona; Herbert of Buffalo Mills; Ralph of Berlin; Freeman of Buffalo Mills; Clyde of Buffalo Mills; Mrs. Paul (Marie) Countryman, Berlin RD 4. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the volunteer fire department, IOOF Lodge 461, all in Berlin. He was a retired farmer and superintendent of the Berlin IOOF Cemetery for the past four years. Services were held on March 6 in the Johnson and Son Funeral Home in Berlin with the Rev. Robert S. Nagle officiating. Interment was in Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Meyersdale Republic, March 11, 1976 [L0790]
